To Dream of Langston Cover

I finally figured out how to get my book cover converted to .jpeg so I could include it here! Please continue on to the blog....

The cover of the first serialized chapter [those of you familiar with the flora of northern England and Scotland will recognize the golden gorse]:

    1. I agree, it is. It's designed by Rae Monet and is the first of eleven similar covers for the eleven serial installments. She's finished four, so far and they are all so lovely.

    1. Thanks, Gerri. I got a close up look at golden gorse when we visited Yorkshire last year. I would have brought a planting home, if both governments wouldn't have frowned on that, lol.

    1. Isn't it amazing, Beppie? Months, even years, but now it's all coming together. Listen for that exciting yelling you'll hear on September 30. You'll know it's me.

  5. How does that saying go-- kissing's only allowed when the gorse is in bloom? :-) Your cover is so inviting!

    1. Lol, then it's a good thing gorse is in bloom most of the year. Thanks for stopping by, Kate.

  6. Wonderfully warm and inviting cover, Màiri. I really like the mirror effect, literally pulling the reader into the book. Very nicely done!

    1. That's the look I was going for, Louisa, when I talked with my cover designer, Rae Monet (she did the gorgeous Old Masters look for the website, too.)
      Thanks for visiting!
